Whilst away recently we visited the Beamish open air museum in County Durham. The town tells of life in the North East of England in the late 1800's and early 1900's particularly focusing on the 1940's.
I was impressed by the sheer size of Beamish and the different areas to visit including the farm, town, railway station and fairground You can travel around Beamish by walking, tram or bus; any of these methods allows you to take in the beautiful scenery.
